Parking

There is NO parking within ¾ mile of the start/finish and we ask that no cars turn onto Ruxton Avenue on race morning. Please park at Memorial Park next to the Manitou Springs City Hall and do a warm-up walk or jog up Ruxton Avenue to the start. Ruxton Ave has designated resident-only parking and you WILL be ticketed or towed if you park there. Parking meters are strictly enforced!

There are a few free areas recommended for parking and starting your warm-up:

Tajine Alami. A 1.40 mile warm-up starting by 6:23am.

Memorial Park. A 1.25 mile warm-up starting by 6:25am.

Serpentine Drive & Manitou Avenue on the west end of town. A 1.25 mile warm-up starting by 6:25am.

Note: Soda Springs Park is a metered parking area, it is no longer free parking. A .75 mile warm-up starting by 6:30am

There is a shuttle that leaves from the east side of Memorial Park to the Incline. This shuttle starts at 6:00am. You may also park at the high school and walk to the shuttle. This free shuttle runs every 20 minutes. The following information is from the City of Manitou Springs parking page: Manitou Springs Parking Information

On-Street Parking

“Parking on city streets is available to any member of the public in Manitou Springs. All parking spaces downtown are pay-by-plate from 7:00am to 8:00pm daily. Please watch for the signs posted throughout this area, which is also illustrated on the map on the reverse. After parking remember your license plate number and proceed to any of the convenient on-street payment kiosks. Payment options at on-street kiosks are coin or credit card. Input your license plate number, follow the on-screen instructions, make your payment and take your receipt. Hourly rates are: $1.00 for each hour 1-3, $2.00 for each hour 4-5, $3.00 for each hour 6-12, with a daily maximum of $28.00. If you pay by credit/debit card and provide your cell phone number at the time of initial payment, you will be notified by text message when your time is about to expire. You can then extend your time via payment by your cell phone or by returning to any payment kiosk.”

Restrooms

Port-a-potties and other restroom facilities are available at the start and finish areas. Please see the map above to locate the other restroom locations. Please do not use the Cog Railway bathrooms unless you are using the Cog! The best way to avoid lines is to use the restrooms in the city parks before doing your warm-up to the start.

Sweat Check

Clothes left at the start line will be moved to the finish area. They will be placed on the east end of the fence surrounding the power substation. We are NOT responsible for anything you leave so only leave what you can live without!
