2026 Registration Details

The 2026 Barr Trail Mountain Race will be held Sunday, July 19th, 2026 at 7 AM. 
GENERAL REGISTRATION WILL OPEN MARCH 1, 2026
We will have “Aid Station Sponsor” slots for 2026! 100% of the entry fee for these slots goes to the High School Aid Station Challenge and will be distributed to the participating local High School Cross Country teams who are manning the aid stations for the race. **Keep an eye out for more sponsorship information!

Please note: we do not offer a waiting list, deferrals, or refunds for BTMR. Race insurance is highly suggested.

  • First 24 hrs Registration (March 1): TBD
  • General Registration (March 2 – April 30): TBD
  • Really Late Bird (May 1 – July 19th): TBD
  • On-Site (packet pickup/race day July 20**): TBD
  • HS Aid Station Sponsor: $500

The Barr Trail Mountain Race began in 2000 with the intent of attracting top mountain-running athletes to race on Pikes Peak – the fourteener in Colorado Springs’ backdrop. The race was founded by skyrunning legend, Matt Carpenter together with Nancy Hobbs, founder and director of the American Trail Running Association (ATRA), ISF member.
